EDUCATION
Maggie Rutter is a doctoral student in the Counseling Psychology program at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. She is currently completing her practicum at the Center for Collaborative Health, where she provides therapy and administration of assessments under licensed supervision.
EXPERIENCE
Maggie has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in both therapy and group settings. Her clinical training includes working with patients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral concerns.
MENTAL HEALTH APPROACH
Maggie approaches therapy with warmth, authenticity and a deep respect for each patient's unique lived experience. She is grounded in a person-centered framework, believing that healing happens in safe, trusting relationships.
CURRENT PRACTICE
While she has received training in evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), her therapeutic work is guided primarily by a person-centered, strengths-based lens.
She is especially passionate about supporting individuals through identity development, relational challenges, and emotional growth. Maggie values integrating mindfulness and somatic awareness into her work, honoring the mind-body connection.
Maggie has availability on Mondays and Tuesdays.
