EDUCATION
Jenna earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire. She later received her Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
EXPERIENCE
Jenna has experience working with severe and persistent mental illness, co-occurring disorders, carceral populations, and paraphilic disorders. She specializes in working with adults through a trauma-informed lens and is dedicated to providing compassionate, individualized care that supports healing and resilience. Jenna also specializes in working with first responders and their families, recognizing the unique challenges and stressors that can come with those roles and experiences.
CERTIFICATIONS
Jenna is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and a board-approved supervisor for LPC/LPCC clinicians. She is certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and has received specialized training in providing mental health services to first responders and their families. Jenna is passionate about supporting individuals through life’s challenges with compassion, collaboration, and evidence-based care.
MENTAL HEALTH APPROACH
Jenna approaches therapy through a trauma-informed lens and provides care using a client-centered approach. She values collaboration and works alongside clients to create a safe, supportive space for healing and growth. Jenna holds space for emotions, helps clients access their own inner wisdom, and provides practical skills to support them in reaching their goals.
Her work is tailored to each client’s unique needs and draws from modalities including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and holistic practices that integrate mind, body, and spirit to support the whole person. Jenna believes that each individual is the expert of their own life and strives to make difficult experiences feel more manageable through compassion, connection, and collaborative care.
CURRENT PRACTICE
In her clinical practice, Jenna provides individual telehealth only therapy to adults ages 18 and older who are experiencing a mental health crisis, life transition, or traumatic event. Her areas of clinical interest include, but are not limited to, depression and other mood disorders, anxiety, personality disorders, and psychotic spectrum disorders.
One of Jenna’s greatest passions is working with first responders, including law enforcement, military personnel, firefighters, and correctional officers, et cetera. With 13 years of personal experience working in corrections, she understands firsthand the unique challenges these professionals face and the importance of receiving support from someone who truly understands their experiences.
