Ch-Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes

Owning a business is not for the faint of heart! And being a women-owned business has come with its own challenges.

While our journey has been relatively smooth despite some natural bumps in the road, we, as well as the rest of the world, were not expecting a global pandemic. The COVID-19 pandemic increased awareness of mental health, but it also increased the demand for services, overwhelming mental health clinics across the country. The pandemic also changed the way that services were delivered, forcing most mental health providers to implement a virtual platform for treatment. For the last two years, most mental health clinics, including our own, have been working diligently to adapt to these changes.

During 2020 and 2021, CCH saw its largest growth in numbers, adding several new providers and services (e.g., acupuncture, nutrition counseling, medication management/psychiatry) all while working mostly remotely.

With our return to the office, 2022 was a year of adjusting to the new, dynamic, and progressive way of practicing following the COVID-19 pandemic and while growing into our existing services. We continued to see the positive impact that our work was having on our clients, motivating our every choice and workday. We were also able to build a strong community of multidisciplinary providers that work collaboratively with each other every day to make our work even better, delivering the non-traditional psychological care we had dreamed of by utilizing a suite of resources to tailor to and support each client.

So, what will 2023 bring? Hopefully a year of following through with the dreams and goals that we had prior to the pandemic. We are expanding our physical space once again (3rd expansion since 2019!), where we will provide space for clients to be empowered to live healthier lives through traditional therapy alongside complementary practices allowing optimized growth opportunities for clients daily living. With that expansion comes the addition of new therapists to help us respond to the increased need for mental health treatment, as well as the addition of new services including massage therapy, Reiki, and shamanic healing among others.

From the beginning of its inception, CCH has strived to provide proven, innovative services to our clients. We employ a collaborative whole-body approach to healing that considers all factors that affect health and wellness from an emotional, physical, and nutritional perspective. Combining traditional mental health therapies with complementary treatments we can take advantage of all appropriate therapeutic strategies to reach optimal wellness and healing. At CCH, we are also actively reimagining mental health culture by providing services that not only treat current problems but also give clients tools to better withstand future challenges. We do not want people to seek help only when they are in crisis. Our clients do not have to be currently seeing a therapist or a psychiatrist to access our wellness services. On the contrary, we want them to utilize our services in times when they are doing well, as a preventative measure, by strengthening their health.

This is our vision for CCH, and we cannot wait to bring it to life this year, in our new, enhanced 2023 phase. We hope that you will continue to join us in our journey. We encourage you to try our new (and old!) services, and if you are not already doing so, give us a follow-on Instagram and/or Facebook where we will post clinic updates, valuable education, and offer fun giveaways.

Thank you for supporting our small, locally owned business. It is our pleasure to be a resource and support for our community.

 See you soon!
