EDUCATION
Josie earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Minnesota State University, Mankato. She then completed her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Winona State University.
EXPERIENCE
Josie brings diverse experience working with clients across the lifespan in both individual and group therapeutic settings. She began her career in the mental health field providing Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, where she developed specialized skills in behavioral intervention and family support. She then expanded her practice to a community outpatient setting, where she has successfully supported individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use concerns, neurodivergence, major life transitions, eating disorders, and identity exploration.
CERTIFICATIONS
Josie is actively pursuing her Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) licensure and is currently preparing for the licensure exam to advance her professional credentials.

Josie's therapeutic philosophy centers on building authentic, trusting relationships with each client while creating a warm and supportive environment. She believes that a touch of appropriate humor can help remind us of our shared humanity and the importance of finding joy in everyday moments. Understanding that each person's journey is unique, Josie tailors her therapeutic approach to meet the specific needs and goals of every individual she serves.

CURRENT PRACTICE
Josie's clinical practice specializes in individual therapy services for children, adolescents, and adults. She works with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, neurodivergence, significant life transitions, eating disorders, and those engaged in identity exploration. Her comprehensive approach ensures that each client receives personalized care tailored to their unique circumstances and therapeutic goals.
